NAPA AUTO PARTS will make a $250,000 donation to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®on Nov. 7, 2010 to coincide with the unveiling of a special, one-of-a-kind paint scheme on the No. 56 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota driven by Martin Truex, Jr., during the AAA 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway. The paint scheme features the names of more than 2,400 fan-submitted names of breast cancer survivors and supporters.

Fans helped raise $51,000 of the $250,000 donation by making a minimum contribution of $5.60 to Susan G. Komen for the Cure for their loved ones names to appear on the No. 56 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota. The names are featured in pink on the paint scheme; names submitted with a donation of $560 or more are in white on the No. 56 NAPA AUTO PARTS Toyota. NAPA also raised funds for Susan G. Komen for the Cure via the sale of NAPA All Out for the Curelimited edition hats at participating NAPA AUTO PARTS stores during the month of October.

NASCAR RnR actually had an interview scheduled with Martin today but he had to cancel the interview because practice was taking longer than they originally expected it to be.

Tough break for us, but if Martin brings this car into victory lane on Sunday because of the extra time he needed out on the track today instead of talking with us then I’m not complaining because every name on that car deserves to be recognized and what better way to do so than by bringing them into victory lane!
