The gaps between the Liguilla teams and the teams on the outside looking in is starting to widen with only two weeks to go. Teams like Pachuca, Pumas, and Chivas will be fighting to get back in while Santos and San Luis face off in an interesting match with Liguilla seeding implications.
Toluca are sitting in the final playoff place, and start the week with a match they should win.

Tecos continued their poor season last week with a 4-1 shellacking at the hands of Club America. Thankfully for them, their '08 Apertura and '09 Clasura performances were great, so they are in no danger of getting relegated this season. Points are always a good thing, though, and they're unlikely to pick up any more against the winners of the last championship, Toluca. They lost to San Luis last week and now find themselves in eighth place, the final Liguilla spot. A win would go a long way towards securing their spot in this tournament's playoffs. Despite their recent struggles, they should be able to defeat a poor Tecos team. Veteran captain Zinha should be able to have a big impact on the game, as Tecos will probably have no answer for his creative presence, and God help them if they give Zinha a free kick from close range.
