If you haven’t been able to see Delaware quarterback Pat Devlin this season, tonight is your chance. The BlueHens face New Hampshire at 8 p.m. on ESPN 2 in the quarterfinals of the FCS playoffs.
FCS prospect Pat Devlin on display tonight
Devlin is having a good season for Delaware. On the year, he’s completing 67.8 percent of his passes for 2,414 yards and 18 touchdowns. Devlin also only has two interceptions on the season. Those two interceptions both came on tipped passes.
A Penn State transfer whom the Nittany Lions could have used this season, Devlin is a classic pocket passer. He’s lacks a little bulk at 6’4 and 220 pounds, but few expect him to be a rookie starter in the NFL.
Even without the strongest arm, Devlin has starting potential in the pros. He has one of the better releases in this year’s class and is calm in the pocket.
NFL scouts have told Delaware coach K.C. Keeler that Devlin should be drafted anywhere from the second to fourth round.
