No. 21 Louisville Vs. Drexel: Cardinals Upset At Home, 52-46

It's upset night in college basketball! Just hours after the Tennessee Volunteers fell at home to mid-major Oakland, the Louisville Cardinals did the same, dropping a home game to Drexel, 52-46. The Cardinals shot just 32.6 percent from the field and a shocking 48 percent from the free throw line, hitting only 12 of 25 from the charity stripe. Drexel was only slightly better, shooting 37.8 percent from the field and 50 percent from the line.

Ugly doesn’t even begin to describe this game. Drexel turned the ball over 23 times ... and won. Drexel pulled-down 44 rebounds while Louisville grabbed just 25 boards. Shooting was poor, ball security was poor and rebounding was, more or less, one-sided.

The Dragons used an outstanding individual performance by Gerald Colds to pull the upset. Colds finished with a game-high 20 points and five rebounds in the win. Both Samme Givens and Daryl McCoy pulled-down double-digit rebounds, each securing 10 boards. Chris Fouch joined Colds in double-figures with 10 points.

Louisville was led by sophomore point guard Peyton Siva's 13 points, four rebounds and two assists. Preston Knowles also scored 13 points in the loss. The Cardinals other three starters finished with just five total points.

The loss, Louisville’s first of the season, sent dropped the Cardinals to 8-1 on the year. Drexel improved to 7-1 with the upset victory.
