Jacob Pullen, Curtis Kelly Suspended For Receiving Clothing Store Benefits

The Big 12 Conference announced via Twitter that senior Kansas St. Wildcats guard Jacob Pullen and senior forward Curtis Kelly will not play in Tuesday night's game against UNLV. The conference rep says both players "received impermissible benefits on the purchase of clothing from a local department store."

Pullen will miss the Wildcats’ next three games, while Kelly’s punishment has yet to be hammered out. Two of those games are against UMKC and North Florida, but 10-2, high-scoring UNLV can be a handful for anybody, especially a team minus its leading scorer and distributor.

The two players appeared on the cover of Kansas State's official 2010 media guide. Pullen has averaged 16.5 points, 3.8 assists, 1.9 steals, and even 3.7 rebounds per game. Kelly contributes 10.3 pounds, 4 rebounds, and a block per game. In their absence, Rodney McGruder and Jamar Samuels will need to step up their offensive production.
