Laurence Bowers posted 13 points with nine rebounds and Ricardo Ratliffe added 12 points and five boards for the Tigers (11-1), who have won six in a row since a November 30 overtime loss to Georgetown.
Illinois was only down by a point with 40 seconds left when center Mike Tisdale fouled Missouri guard Laurence Bowers. Bowers hit his shot to go with the foul and then made both free throws. From there the Tigers just laid it on.
Mike Davis scored 17 points with eight boards for the Illini (10-3), who have lost two in a row. Demetri McCamey had 14 points and Mike Tisdale ripped down 13 rebounds in a losing cause.
