Former Miami of Ohio head coach, and new Pittsburgh head coach, Mike Haywood was arrested in South Bend, Indiana on Friday afternoon and charged with domestic violence. Police were called to a residence in South Bend, where a woman he fathered a child with lives, after a custody dispute broke out. According to police, Haywood attempted to restrain the women, grabbing her by the neck and arm as she tried to leave.

The woman told police Haywood grabbed her by the arm and neck and pushed her.
According to the police report, the woman had red marks on her neck, arms and back.
Haywood was named the head coach at Pittsburgh on Dec. 16 after Dave Wannstedt abruptly retired following the end of the 2010 season. In two years at Miami, Haywood led a remarkable turnaround, taking the Redhawks from 1-11 in his first year to 9-4 in his second before leaving for Pittsburgh.
