NFL Power Rankings Week 14: Cowboys Gaining Respect; Broncos Are Not

No. 21-32 of SB Nation’s NFL power rankings are out and there aren’t a whole lot of surprises. Your usual suspects are at the bottom -- Cardinals, Panthers and Bengals -- while the Seahawks and Rams are neck-in-neck in our rankings and the NFC West.

There are four weeks remaining so there’s plenty of time for change but you can get used to most of these teams being ranked low. The rest of the teams will be released later on Tuesday.

21. Seattle Seahawks (6-6): I have yet to figure this team out. They're 24th on offense and 21st in defense. They've yet to win (or lose) more than two games in a row. They just need to give themselves a shot in Week 17 when they meet the Rams. LW: 21

22. St. Louis Rams (6-6): Sam Bradford is moving along nicely in his rookie season, especially the last month. Like Seattle, the Rams just need to keep pace with the Seahawks to give them a shot in Week 17. LW: 23

23. Dallas Cowboys (4-8): Did anyone see the Cowboys beating the Colts? (Cowboys nation raises their hand.) I sure didn't. Jason Garrett is proving he's the man for the job in 2011. LW: 25

24. Minnesota Vikings (5-7): I received an email last week when we had the Bills ranked above the Vikings. The Minnesota fan was wondering if I was out of my mind. I said we can figure out whose right this week when the Vikings meet the Bills. Well, Minnesota beat Buffalo by 24 points so we know who was right. LW: 28

25. Washington Redskins (5-7): Ouch. I'm looking for something good to say...but I can't find it. The Redskins are making their fans turn to the NFL draft already. LW: 20

26. San Francisco 49ers (4-8): Jed York still thinks the 49ers can win the NFC West. You know what the saddest part is? Even at 4-8, there's some truth to that. The 49ers are two games out with four to play. LW: 24

27. Buffalo Bills (2-10): Yeah, the Bills are a two-win team but this was their first loss by more than three points since Oct. 10. The Bills will play spoiler for someone down the stretch. LW: 26

28. Denver Broncos (3-9): Josh McDaniels is fired leaving plenty of questions for the Broncos in 2010 and beyond. None may be more important than Tim Tebow's future role on the team. LW: 27

29. Detroit Lions (2-10): Like Buffalo, they've played some close games despite their record. Chicago could only top them by four points despite being one of the top NFC teams. The Lions aren't there yet -- but they're getting closer. LW: 30

30. Cincinnati Bengals (2-9): The Bengals are in an impressive nine-game losing streak at the moment. The worst part? It may not be getting better. Their schedule the rest of the way: Steelers, Browns, Chargers and Ravens. LW: 29

31. Carolina Panthers (1-11): The Panthers should be on their way to locking up the No. 1 pick in the draft. Interesting question becomes which direction they go after picking up Jimmy Clausen last year. That's a much more interesting topic than, you know, the Panthers actually playing football. LW: 31

32. Arizona Cardinals (3-9): John Skelton may be starting at quarterback next week for the Cardinals. You know, John Skelton? This season is getting worse for Arizona. LW: 32
