Ducks Beat Oilers, 3-2, For 11th Straight Win At Home

Todd Marchant scored the go-ahead goal with 11:39 left in the third period as the Anaheim Ducks defeated Edmonton, 3-2, to set a franchise record with their 11th straight victory on home ice.

Bobby Ryan scored two goals for Anaheim (29-24-7), which is 13-5 in the past 18 games and now two points behind Calgary for the eighth and final Western Conference playoff spot.

The Ducks played without leading-scorer Ryan Getzlaf, who sprained his left ankle Monday night in a 4-2 win over Los Angeles.

Edmonton (18-35-6) took a 2-1 lead in the second period on goals by Ryan Potulny and Ethan Moreau. The Oilers are on a 3-22-2 freefall and rank last in the NHL with 42 points.

Ryan tied the score on a power play goal at 15:22 of the second period, assisted by Petteri Nokelainen and Scott Niedermayer.

Marchant redirected James Wisniewski’s slap shot from the right point for his first game-winner of the season.
