While the reports that Johnny Weir was afraid of anti-fur activists upset with the real fur he wore in a costume for the US Nationals might conjure up images of a simply fabulous Weir running from naked PETA protesters, the reality was bad enough that Weir has decided that he is safer staying in Olympic Village than on his own.

↵Weir was supposed to stay in a hotel by himself, but getting enough security for himself was not feasible. The security provided by Olympic village is far better and for Weir, far cheaper. Weir will bunk with ice dancer Tanith Belbin for the games.
