The US Women took care of business against the Chinese as they beat them 12-1 in their first round robin game of the Olympics. Jenny Potter scored a hat trick while Meghan Duggan scored two goals and Angela Ruggerio, Kelli Stack, Lisa Chesson, Jocelyne Lamoureaux, Molly Engstrom, Natalie Darwitz, and Julie Chu all score one goal. The Chinese goal came with 2:21 left in the third period on the power play. Fengling Jin scored that goal.
United States 12, China 1: US Women Spread The Love Against China
The American goaltenders were the least worked on the whole ice as they had to face a total of seven shots on goal. The United States put 61 shots on net.
The next US Women’s game is Tuesday February 16th against Russia while the Chinese will face off against Finland on Tuesday.
