Casual Hoya: Georgetown Falls In Another Trap Game

Georgetown fans at SB Nation’s Casual Hoya are predictably…upset about the team losing what should have been another easy game for a group that has handled some of the top teams in the country. Will this tendency to overlook opponents spell trouble for the Hoyas come tournament time?:

Look ahead to Villanova, lose to South Florida.

Look ahead to Syracuse, lose to Rutgers.

Chris Wright mailed in one of his worst performances as a Hoya, taking ill-advised and selfish shots en route to a 2-8 performance from the field while playing uninspired and lazy defense. Austin Freeman failed to break the 20 point barrier for the second game in a row and shot a woeful 1-5 from beyond the arc. Greg Monroe, despite leading the Hoyas with 19 points, contributed 5 of the Hoyas 14 turnovers. […] Until we beat the teams that we are supposed to destroy, this year has first-round exit written all over it.
