Matt Jones Had Terrible Workout, Bengals Sign Him Anyway

The Bengals have become known for giving second chances to repeat offenders across the league. That’s certainly the case with Matt Jones -- who signed with the club earlier this week -- but now the question becomes, why? Bengals sources told Yahoo! Sports that Jones had a terrible workout with the club.

↵↵“He obviously has great size, but not even that is much of an advantage when you don’t move very fast,” one source said. “He’s not really the solution to what we need.”

↵↵And for good measure, the Bengals also worked out Pacman Adam Jones, who the source was equally fond of.

↵↵“He worked out, but he wasn’t really ready to work out, if you know what I’m saying.”

↵↵Yes, yes we do know what you’re saying.
