Bryant University won’t be eligible for the NCAA Tournament until 2013 as they make the transition from Division II, but the Rhode Island school’s men’s basketball team did play a full Division I and Northeast Conference schedule this season.
No Team Will Go Winless In Division I Men’s Hoops This Season
↵It hasn’t been the best of campaigns for the Bulldogs, who were DII runners-up in 2005. They entered tonight’s game at Wagner with an 0-26 record, 0-14 in the NEC.
↵They got rid of both goose eggs with a 53-51 win over the Seahawks, thanks to two free throws from freshman Raphael Jordan with just eight-tenths left in regulation.
↵Those foul shots ensured that Tim O’Shea’s squad won’t suffer the ignominious fate that befell the 2007-08 New Jersey Institute of Technology Highlanders, who finished that season with an 0-29 record.
↵Bryant will attempt to make it two wins in a row at Mount St. Mary’s on Saturday.
