Team Canada Coach Mike Babcock Makes Line Changes For Tonight’s Game

Canadian coach Mike Babcock didn’t stop after announcing Roberto Luongo as the starting goaltender versus Germany. He took Rick Nash away from Sidney Crosby’s line which also includes Jarome Iginla and plugged him in alongside Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry.

Eric Staal will take Nash’s spot on Crosby’s line. The defense remains unaltered, but Babcock may tinker with the top pairings consisting of Chris Pronger and Dan Boyle, Scott Niedermayer and Shea Weber.

Babcock is using this match with the Germans as a tool for discovering his best options because there won’t be time for second-guessing tomorrow against the Russians if Canada advances.
