I think his emotions are running high right now, he has a big fight coming up next month and he’s still upset about his loss to Lesnar. He’s been talked to, he regrets what he said, and he won’t be saying anything like that again.”
“I would like to apologize to Brock Lesnar, his family, the UFC and the UFC fans for my stupid remarks,” said Mir. “I respect Brock, all the other fighters, and the sport of mixed martial arts. I’m sorry that I stepped out of line.”

↵This was more or less expected. The UFC has done such a good job of leading the safety charge that having two of it’s biggest stars in the center of a situation where one is stating that he wants to kill the other in the cage had to cause some real concern. With an official statement condemning the behavior now the UFC looks good and can reap the benefits of the extra heat for a rubber match between the two should Mir get by Shane Carwin.
