Patriots Bring Back WR David Patten

After leaving New England, where he won three Super Bowls, Patten played for Washington and New Orleans.

While the end of season injury to Wes Welker leaves his availability for at least the beginning of next season in doubt, it’s certainly surprising that the Patriots are turning to Patten given his age, and that he’s been out of football for a year.
