Gasol, Bynum Lead Lakers to a 99-90 Victory Over Sixers

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Pau Gasol posted 23 points and 11 rebounds and Andrew Bynum added 20 and 13, as the Lakers pulled away late in the fourth quarter for a 99-90 victory over Philadelphia.

Kobe Bryant ended with 19 points and eight assists, while Lamar Odom scored 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds, helping Los Angeles rebound from a 101-96 loss at Dallas on Wednesday.

Samuel Dalembert matched his career-high with 24 points to go with 11 boards for the Sixers, who finished up a 1-3 road trip. Andre Iguodala had a solid all-around game with 13 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds, while Lou Williams chipped in 16 points and seven helpers in the loss.

Iguodala pulled Philadelphia within 85-83 with a pair of free throws and a three-pointer near the midway point of the final quarter.

After the teams traded buckets, Bynum converted a three-point play for a five- point lead with four minutes remaining.

Odom countered a Dalembert slam with consecutive hook shots to push the margin to 94-87, and a pair of Bryant free throws with a minute left essentially put the game out of reach.

The Sixers held a 25-24 edge after an evenly played first quarter, and they were up 51-50 at halftime.

Things remained nip-and-tuck through the third, which Jordan Farmar finished off with a three-pointer for a 74-69 Lakers lead.

Bynum was fined $25,000 by the league on Friday for publicly criticizing game officials following the loss to Dallas...Bryant had not played at home since a 126-113 win over Denver on February 5 due to an ankle injury...Farmar had 10 points for the Lakers...Thaddeus Young contributed 13 points for Philadelphia, which made 3-of-16 from three-point range.
