Hawaii DE Kona Schwenke Commits To Notre Dame

Notre Dame fans are scrambling to learn what there is to learn about Hawaii defensive end Kona Schwenke, who just signed a letter of intent to play for the Fighting Irish. According to UND.com, the 6-4, 227-lb defensive end from Hauula, HI was named by the Honolulu Advertiser to their first-team Hawaii all-state team for 2009. SB Nation’s ND blog Rakes of Mallow says today’s additions of Schwenke and Matt James make this a “very, very good signing day for the Irish.”

Schwenke’s highlights can be viewed here. His MaxPreps.com bio is here.
