It’s still more than three weeks away, but when current No. 2 Villanova travels to Syracuse -- the country’s No. 3 team -- it will set a new record for the largest crowd to see a college basketball game on campus.

↵School officials said Wednesday that 34,616 tickets have been sold for the night game on Feb. 27 in the Carrier Dome. The current record also was set against Villanova, when 33,633 turned out on March 5, 2006, to see the final home game of former Orange star Gerry McNamara.

↵How will they fit everyone in there for a basketball game? Easy -- sell tickets to sections that don’t exist.
↵↵Folks are already talking about tickets in Section 332. Check out this seating chart of the Dome for basketballl...Section 332 isn’t even on it! In fact, a full seating chart reveals that Section 332 is near the far endzone of the Dome. I’m not even certain you can get a view of the court there.
↵↵With all those eyes fixated on the court, one has to wonder -- will that be the night ‘Cuse unveils their (possibly) new uniforms?
