Todd Leary Arrested For Multiple Felonies

Athletes are generally not known for their financial acumen, with good reason. Sometimes this carries over into credulously or cynically engaging in criminal activity (I’m looking at you, Ty Detmer). Former Indiana Hoosier Todd Leary is our most recent example of the latter.

↵Leary, who was a part of Indiana’s 1992 Final Four team, was arrested on 17 felony counts related to realty fraud, according to the Fort Wayne Journal-Gazette. Leary reportedly blackmailed his boss, who Leary had caught misappropriating funds from their title insurance brokerage, to allow Leary to do the same.

↵The hammer came down on Leary when his former teammate Brian Evans cooperated with the police after Leary had confided in him. Apparently, Evans is not a big Carmelo Anthony fan...
