Maurice Jones-Drew Wins Madden Bowl 2010

No, we weren’t just bumping into athletes like Adrian Peterson, Anquan Boldin and Marshawn Lynch on the street last night. We also rubbed elbows with some of the NFL’s biggest names at Madden Bowl 2010. Jags running back Maurice Jones-Drew took the crown with ball control and defense, playing as the Jets, over 49ers linebacker Patrick Willis, who actually played with his own team.

Also in attendance/spotted at the event: Cowboys WR Miles Austin, Titans RB Chris Johnson, Vikings WR Percy Harvin, Bengals WR Chad Ochocinco, Vikings DE Jared Allen, Steelers WR Santonio Holmes, Ravens OT Michael Oher, Cowboys DE DeMarcus Ware, Jets QB Mark Sanchez, Bengals LB Keith Rivers, Bengals coach Marvin Lewis, Steelers LB LaMarr Woodley, Steelers LB James Farrior, Falcons TE Tony Gonzalez, Broncos WR Brandon Marshall, Browns WR Josh Cribbs, Cardinals DT Darnell Dockett and others we probably missed. The event was hosted by ESPN’s Trey Wingo. Aside from that big trophy in the photos, MJD also received a diamond-encrusted Xbox 360 console and a phone call from John Madden himself. (EA Sports has a video up with more on the finals, too.)

Enjoy the pictures, and we’ll have an interview with Cowboys WR Miles Austin, which was shorter than intended thanks to some user error on my part on the camcorder, posted later today.
