Penguins, Capitals Game Draws Great Rating For NHL

The Pittsburgh Penguins have been a part of games this regular season that seem to draw many eyes to televisions. The ratings were released for Sunday’s Penguins/Capitals game and they were great in hockey standards:

↵↵NBC’s telecast of the Penguins/Capitals Sunday showdown scored a 1.3 overnight rating, tying the two weeks ago telecast of Pens/Flyers for the network’s best rating for an indoor game this season.

↵↵That’s right, they tied the record set last week when the Penguins and Flyers faced off. That just means that every NBC game for the rest of the season is probably going to feature Sidney Crosby and Pittsburgh Penguins. That should be perfect for trying to expand the casual fan.
