Defending Big D Has Reaction On Kari Lehtonen Trade

Defending Big D, our Dallas Stars blog, has posted their initial reaction about the Kari Lehtonen trade:

If the Stars were going to acquire a goaltender any more established than Lehtonen, then the price would most likely have been higher. Be careful to judge this trade right away; this was a gamble by the Stars but it has the potential to be a great move. Or it could be a bust. We’ll see.

This trade has to be a precursor to moving Marty Turco, because having three quality goaltenders with Turco, Lehtonen, and Auld is going to create a massive logjam. According to Bob McKenzie, the only teams that could be interested in Turco is Philadelphia and Chicago.
