Jacory Harris Has a Beautiful Afro Butterfly

It’s obvious that Dan Le Batard had few expectations going into the interview with Miami quarterback Jacory Harris. After all, athletes aren’t exactly quote machines, especially young athletes like Harris. Fortunately, the universe flipped polarities today, and Harris bloomed like a beautiful afro butterfly in his chat with LeBatard. Among other things discussed: â†µTebow’s chastity (“He’s lying”), his love of Phil Collins “In the Air Tonight,” (“I love that song,”) and the stunning outfit he will wear to his Heisman Trophy ceremony. Note: will, as in he promises he’ll be there.â†µâ†µâ‡¥Harris: I’m gonna wear a pink suit to the ceremony, pimp cup and all.â†µâ‡¥â†µâ‡¥LeBatard: You’re gonna bring a goblet to the Heisman ceremony?â†µâ‡¥

â†µThe hairstyle in question: an afro, the growth of which became "breaking news" for the LeBatard show. In case you have not ever grown an afro, or cannot, the growing of an afro happens in three stages, and resembles the life cycle of a butterfly in its beauty and process. â†µJust ask Jacory:â†µ

â†µâ†µâ‡¥Harris: I’m going through phase two.â†µâ‡¥â†µâ‡¥LeBatard: Explain that.â†µâ‡¥
â†µâ‡¥â†µâ‡¥Harris: You have stage one, when you start. Then stage two, where you have your little ugly stage. Then you have stage three, where you busting out of the cocoon, and you’re ready for the braids, and all the different hairstyles.â†µâ‡¥
â†µâ‡¥â†µâ‡¥LeBatard: Bustin’ out of the cocoon like a beautiful afro butterfly?â†µâ‡¥
â†µâ‡¥â†µâ‡¥Harris: Yeah, like an afro butterfly. â†µâ‡¥

â†µâ†µâ†µHe also discusses the beginning of his rap career, and whether he’s saving himself for marriage. His extremely decisive answer to the last question. “NO.” I wish I could write that in larger font, and perhaps in fluorescent letters just to give you an idea of how very clear Harris is about this. And now we have a new favorite quarterback in the ACC, who hopefully will have the afro in full effect for the upcoming season. You know, like a beautiful afro butterfly.â†µ
