Franzen gave the Wings a 1-0 edge just 2:25 in, then Holmstrom’s point blast on the power play and Zetterberg’s redirection at even strength tripled the Detroit advantage on scores 56 seconds apart midway through the first.
Ebbett made it 3-1 with 11 seconds left before intermission on a tip-in of a centering feed by Martin Havlat.
Miller’s short-handed score with just over seven minutes to play in the second restored the Wings’ three-goal edge, then Franzen added his second of the night with 5:17 left in regulation -- a screen shot from the right circle which used a Wild defender to mask the chance.
Detroit has won two of three meetings this season, with one more scheduled for Joe Louis Arena on March 26...It was Franzen’s first multi-goal game of the season and first in the regular season since February 18, 2009 against Nashville.
