Regan Smith said recently that by the time summer rolls around, his Furniture Row Racing team could be one that everyone is talking about.

↵And despite Smith sitting 26th in driver points after four races, there could be reason to believe him.
↵Furniture Row began a technical alliance with Richard Childress Racing this season, and it’s under the same chassis program as the three RCR cars (all in the top six in points).
↵And for power? Furniture Row is getting its motors from Hendrick Motorsports for the third straight season.
↵Furniture Row general manager Joe Garone said the team is “being treated as a teammate” of the RCR cars, and the information sharing is going both ways.
↵So will the alliances pay off?
↵That remains to be seen, but teaming up with Childress and Hendrick certainly can’t hurt.
