Former Teammate Disputes Claim That Milton Bradley Is A Monster

Controversy seems to follow Milton Bradley wherever he goes. From arguing with umpires to spiking water bottles on the ground to wearing a t-shirt reading “F--- Eric Wedge,” Bradley’s a walking story with socks, a guy the media can reliably and consistently point to whenever it feels like discussing the inestimable importance of teams just getting along. It’s critical to have good clubhouse chemistry, and Milton Bradley is bad for clubhouse chemistry, so, talent aside, it’s bad to have Milton Bradley. Or so the story most typically goes.

↵And so we, the public, aren’t quite sure how we’re supposed to respond to something like this:

↵↵Milton and I were teammates for 2 months with the Padres. He has a HUGE heart and was a great teammate. He just wants to have someone in his corner.

↵↵Granted, Morgan Ensberg only got to know Bradley for two months, so it’s possible he just never had a chance to see the fangs. Still, is anybody actually prepared to live in a world in which Milton Bradley isn’t the worst teammate ever born? Any more of this and someone’ll have to sign Barry Bonds so the media can have its story back.
