A Look At The 2010 NCAA Tournament Bracket, Were It Expanded To 96 Teams

There’s been much talk during this season of potentially folding the NIT into the NCAA Tournament and creating a 96-team field. The argument for expansion: there is so much parity in college hoops, it would give quality, somewhat deserving teams a tourney berth money. The argument against: It’ll water down the field and make the regular season meaningless.

↵Al Featherston at ACCsports.com has put together what the 2010 NCAA Tournament bracket would look like if it were a 96-team field, so you can take a gander and decide for yourself if expansion is a good idea or not. Although I’m not sure how you can look at a possible Northern Iowa-Quinnipiac or Rhode Island-Sam Houston State first round match-up and NOT get excited.
