Dana White, president of the most powerful brand in all of combat sports, has sure seen his fair share of criticism over the years. And for the most, it’s probably been justified. Despite seemingly lacking a “soft” or compassionate side, Dana’s most recent act of giving shows us all just how caring and selfless the man can be.
UFC President Dana White Gives Donation To Tumour-Stricken Girl
↵From The Sentinel in the UK:
↵↵“The family of a poorly two-year-old girl was “shocked, but over the moon” after a U.S. cagefighting boss pledged £5,000 to help pay for her treatment.
↵Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) president Dana White made the surprise gesture on Ruby Owen’s fund-raising website on Saturday - despite having never met the family.
↵The 40-year-old American decided to support the Kidsgrove family’s campaign to raise £250,000 to pay for the youngster, who has a brain tumour, to have life-saving treatment in America.”
↵↵5,000 pounds comes out to roughly $7,500 American dollars. Though the number may seem a little low for Mr. White, the main point to this whole story is the impressive gesture of the donation itself.
↵For never having met the little girl and having virtually no connection to Ruby prior to the donation, this inspiring act by the UFC bossman shouldn’t go unnoticed.
