Report: Fox’s Jeff Hammond In December Altercation

A bizarre story from the Las Vegas Review-Journal is making the rounds, and it paints Fox NASCAR analyst Jeff Hammond in a bad light.

↵The story (which can be found here) quotes a couple as saying Hammond attacked their vehicle in a Las Vegas parking garage during the NASCAR banquet week in December.

↵Hammond, apparently upset that the couple’s car came too close to him, allegedly “kicked the driver’s side of their car, busting the...mirror.”

↵The couple says security helped catch Hammond, and the wife claims “Hammond never sent an apology but sent a check for $1,000, which he made out to a body repair shop.”

↵↵It took more than a month to get the car fixed, and he refused to pay for a rental, she said.

↵“He needs to take responsibility for his tantrum.

↵“The worst part is that my 5-year-old son thinks ALL cowboys are bad since Jeff was wearing a cowboy hat and boots during this incident.”

↵↵The newspaper says Hammond did not return requests for comment.
