Pro Bowl Keeps Time Slot, Moves To Hawaii

In February, the NFL hosted the Pro Bowl the week before the Super Bowl, which was a huge ratings success. The NFL hasn’t seen a Pro Bowl viewership that large in a decade nor has there been a Pro Bowl crowd that size in 50 years.

↵Thus, the NFL announced today that the 2011 Pro Bowl will be conducted the week prior to the Super Bowl.

↵The NFL also moved the game back to Hawaii, which is the preferred destination of players (and reporters) because it’s a quieter and more relaxing vacation week.

↵Having been in Miami during Super Bowl week, I can tell you that city was one Pacman Jones sighting from getting out of hand.
