After Sidney Crosby scored the game winning goal in the gold medal game, his equipment -- stick, gloves and helmet -- was left scattered across the ice while the team celebrated. Most often times, the team’s equipment manager cleans it all up, sorts it, and then makes sure that it gets to its rightful owner. Except for Crosby. From TSN’s Bob McKenzie:
Sidney Crosby’s Equipment From Olympics Has Disappeared
↵↵The man who scored Canada’s Golden Goal to win Olympic gold in Vancouver returned home without the stick and gloves he used to score them. Maybe his helmet, too, although we’re not quite sure on that just yet.
↵When all was said and done, and the yard sale was cleaned up, it was believed both of Crosby’s gloves, including the one in the mesh, were put in a bin in the Team Canada dressing room area, as well as his stick.
↵But somewhere, sometime, between then and when Crosby left, the gloves and stick were nowhere to be found.
↵↵What mostly likely has happened is someone has misplaced them or sent them to the wrong player. But watch eBay -- you never know what you’re going to find there.
