Muay Thai Trainer Luiz Alves Passes Away

↵Rodrigo Minotauro Muay Thay Coach and one of the greatest coaches of Brazil, Luiz Alves has just died in Rio de Janeiro. At the end of January (26), the Grand Master had a car accident in Rio de Janeiro and to be sent to the hospital, was found a brain vascular accident (AVC). The black belt was hospitalized for two months in Santa Teresinha Hospital in Tijuca.

↵↵- Tatame shares the sad news that Luiz Alves passed away.

↵Alves has been Nogueira’s muay thai trainer for some time and was one of the absolute top trainers in the sport. His death is a major loss to the Brazilian MMA community and SB Nation’s thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.
