Oklahoma City, OK (Sports Network) - Ali Farokhmanesh scored 16 points, including a critical three-pointer in the waning moments, and Northern Iowa stunned No. 1 overall seed Kansas, 69-67, in the second round of the Midwest Region of the NCAA Tournament.

Top-seeded Kansas has reached the Field of 32 after a brief scare from Lehigh. Northern Iowa, a 9-seed, arrives after sinking UNLV in the final moments. At 5:40, the Jayhawks will continue their quest for a championhip against a Northern Iowa team that hasn’t won two games in an NCAA Tournament since1964.
