Eliot Marshall And Shannon Gugerty Released Following UFC On Versus
↵Marshall was given the axe following his loss to Vladimir Matyushenko at UFC on Versus. Marshall is a tough guy, and is one of the more surprising cuts in recent memory especially considering that his loss was his first in four fights for the UFC. But, Marshall has not always given the most amazingly entertaining performances and maybe it is true that they were just looking for a reason to get rid of him and, in the loss, found it.
↵Also announced as bounced from the promotion was Shannon Gugerty. Gugerty’s loss at UFC on Versus dropped him to 2-3 in the promotion, making him a much more likely candidate for release.
