Some talking points today while the SB Nation writers mock kicks off.
Morning draft links to click
Philadelphia Inquirer: Could Donovan McNabb be going to Buffalo? To me, that smacks of writer rumor mongering solely because McNabb played college ball in Syracuse.
But the Eagles are least listening to trade offers. “People are entertaining us with offers,” Eagles coach Andy Reid told reporters. “Nothing’s been done, but we’re evaluating all of them. That’s the truth. There’s not a lot really going on other than entertaining.”
Cleveland Plain Dealer: Other trades are in the works for the Browns, says head coach Eric Mangini. It seems that a trade would involve the Browns moving draft picks for better positioning in the draft. Two of the team’s three third-round picks could fetch them a second rounder, which could be used on a quarterback. The Browns have been rumored to really like Colt McCoy and also have interest in Tony Pike and Dan LeFevour.
SI.com: Touched on this last night in the safety post. Tim Tebow is wavering on being in Radio City Music Hall for the draft.
ESPN.com: Buffalo wants to take a scatback in this year’s draft. C.J. Spiller might not be the option in round one, but there are plenty of other choices later in the draft. One player to keep in mind is Southern Illinois’ Deji Karim.
Miami Herald: Expect Miami to look at a safety at some point, whether in free agency or the draft.
