Strikeforce And Showtime Continue To Fail At Building Up Fighters

Last night former Olympic wrestler Daniel Cormier had his second professional fight on the undercard of the Strikeforce Challengers event. Bucking the trend of high level wrestlers coming into MMA and using top control to grind out decisions or TKO’s Cormier dropped the very tough John Devine with a right hand and followed up with a few punches on the ground for good measure, ending the fight just over a minute after it started.

↵Still, Showtime could not be bothered to show this fight. There were 30 minutes left in the scheduled broadcast after the main event ended and rather than feature a potential future star Showtime made the decision to wrap the show and lose a tremendous amount of viewers by showing a poetry program.

↵The brilliant decision making continues by Showtime and Strikeforce. At this rate they’ll be sure to never create a star using an incredibly visible platform. Well done!
