Carlos Tevez scored his first goal with Manchester City in late August of last year. Turns out it was only the start of him proving that he was worth the record British transfer fee paid by City (well, as much as anyone can “prove” they’re “worth” roughly $70.8 million for playing soccer, but still).
Carlos Tevez Having Himself A Pretty Good Couple Of Months
↵Tevez’s last couple of months have been particularly, well, absurd.
↵↵A hat-trick against Wigan Athletic on Monday night means Tevez has scored a remarkable 21 goals in his past 19 appearances for City and the forward has played a key role in the club’s challenge for Champions League qualification.
↵↵That includes Monday night’s hat-trick, which he accomplished in a 12-minute span.
↵
↵Tevez is fourth in the EPL with 19 goals this season. Meanwhile, Lionel Messi is leading La Liga with 25 goals scored for Barcelona.
↵If both Tevez and Messi stay healthy, and keep playing like this ... uh, maybe watch out for Argentina in the World Cup this summer.
