Assuming the Corey Williams trade becomes official, the Lions have upgraded their defensive line in a big way in the last 12 hours or so. The deal to acquire Williams added much-needed depth to the defensive tackle position, and signing KVB did the same thing for the defensive end position. I will admit that their recent struggles are a bit of a concern, but considering the extenuating circumstances and who the Lions had before them, I am more than happy with the additions.

He’s right. The Lions have completely revamped their defensive line. ESPN’s Chris Mortensen has speculated that with the signing of Williams and Vanden Bosch, Ndamukong Suh is the better choice of the top two defensive tackles in the NFL draft.
