A Second Straight Loss Leaves Lakers Fateful Searching For Answers
We can all stop scoreboard-watching. The Lakers aren't going to overtake the Cavaliers for the NBA's best record. They've decided that home-court advantage in the Finals isn't a prize worth exerting themselves for. If that wasn't obvious enough from last (Thursday) night's indolent defensive effort in Miami, the turd salad the Lakers served up tonight in Charlotte removes all doubt.
Silver Screen And Roll put the blame on the latest loss squarely on the offense, calling Friday night’s effort an “absurd offensive performance, maybe their worst of the year.”
At 46-17, the Lakers trail the Cavaliers by three games for the NBA’s best record, but was swept by Cleveland this season. Looking ahead to a possible Lakers-Magic finals rematch, Silver Screen And Roll points out Los Angeles leads Orlando by 3.5 games entering Sunday’s matchup.
Cheer up Lakers fans, it could be worst. You could be rooting for the Clippers.
