First weekend of free agency greatly affecting draft

Free agency is just days old, but a handful of signings will greatly affect the first round and beyond. Here is a look at five teams and how their picks greatly change what they might do in the draft:

Baltimore: The Ravens no longer need a wide receiver after trading for Anquan Boldin and signing Donte Stallworth. Wide receiver was far and away Baltimore's biggest weakness. Now, it' can be perceived as a strength. The moves allow Baltimore to continue adding youth to its defense or maybe a pass-catching tight end. A cornerback or pass rusher might make sense now.

Jacksonvile: The Jaguars clearly needed a pass rusher and got a good one in Aaron Kampman. While the team may still want to add another pass rusher, it doesn't necessarily have to do so in the first round anymore. This could allow the Jaguars to look at a linebacker or safety.

Chicago: The Bears were a desperate team without a first or second round pick. The Bears adequately addressed their biggest needs by signing Julius Peppers, Chester Taylor and Brandon Manumaleuna. These moves allow the Bears to pick an offensive lineman in the third round, where there should be plenty of solid value.

Arizona: Even though the Cardinals lost Karlos Dansby, Antrel Rolle and Anquan Boldin, the team won't be alarmed. Kerry Rhodes should adequately replace Rolle. A combination of Early Doucet and Steve Breaston can match Boldin's production. There are rumors that Joey Porter could sign with Arizona to replace Dansby. While Porter might be a short-term solution, that would allow the Cardinals to take the best offensive tackle available with pick 26.

Miami: The players being projected to Miami this offseason have been pass rushers. By signing Karlos Dansby, the Dolphins may be able to afford going after a player like Dan Williams with the 12th pick. It's a reach, sure, but he would fill a huge need.
