Wisconsin’s Blake Geoffrion Wins 2010 Hobey Baker Award

Wisconsin forward Blake Geoffrion has won the 2010 Hobey Baker Award. The award is given annually to the top player in NCAA hockey. Geoffrion was a key part of the Badgers success this season, scoring 28 goals and 22 assists in 39 games.

Geoffrion is the grandson of Montreal Canadiens great ‘Boom-Boom’ Geoffrion. He was selected by the Nashville Predators in the second round of the NHL Draft in 2006. He’s a physical force on the ice and will begin likely begin his professional career next year in the Predators organization.
