NFL Mock Draft, Pick 51: Texans Select Kareem Jackson, CB Alabama
Alabama CB Kareem Jackson
It was a tough call in the war room, with a significant faction of BRB’s “braintrust” wanting to go with Dexter McCluster and add another playmaker to an already scary offense, but the safer pick won out here and Kareem Jackson should go above and beyond what the Texans got out of Dunta Robinson last year. We also considered Navarro Bowman, Morgan Burnett, JD Walton, and Amari Spievey.
Houston had a lot of great choices left on the board and went with one of the best. Jackson is being talked about by some as a possible first-round pick so to get him here is a coup. He’s a rookie starter who should do very well and make the fans forget about Dunta Robinson’s average Houston career.
With Dunta Robinson gone, this makes total sense. Like MTD has said, Jackson should come in and make Texans fans forget about Dunta Robinson. Plus, he’s played in some major games at Alabama against the best competition in the country.
