It's unlikely the trades of Donovan McNabb and Santonio Holmes were the last ones that will affect the upcoming draft. Several more big names could be on the move. Here are some that came to mind. Make some predictions of your own in the comments.
Brandon Marshall | WR | Denver Broncos
- Everyone knows the story about Marshall. He's as productive as he is disruptive. He wants a new contract and wants out of Denver. There has been some discussion that he could be headed for Green Bay or San Francisco. At least those are the rumored teams this week. Marshall could land anywhere because for as much problems as he causes, he's still young (26) and a great talent. Considering that he's under contract until 2011, Denver could just make him suck it up.
- Predicted value: Second-round pick.
Albert Haynesworth | DT | Washington Redskins
- Since signing a record contract last offseason, Haynesworth has been a distraction. He doesn't like Washington's scheme on defense and isn't coming to offseason workouts. Some think Haynesworth isn't quite as unhappy as has been reported. And it would be hard to move his contract. Still, there's a lot of discussion about Haynesworth being on the move.
- Predicted value: Second-round pick.
Ronnie Brown | RB | Miami Dolphins
- Adam Schefter has said that the 'Phins have been "open to dealing RB Ronnie Brown for well over a year." In a draft that has some question marks with the running backs, Brown could be enticing. But he'll turn 29 during the season and his productive days may be coming to an end. With that also comes middling value.
- Predicted value: Third-round pick.
Trades involving big-name players may mixup the draft
- Lynch is unhappy with Buffalo and the Bills seem to be done with Lynch. He’s had some off-the-field issues, but when Lynch is on, he’s very good. But his attitude lowers his trade value some.
- Predicted value: Fourth-round pick.
- After losing a lot of weight leading up to the 2009 season, White was expected to be a big factor for the Titans. He followed that up with a career-worst season of 64 carries for 222 yards and two touchdowns. Before he can be traded, though, he’ll have to sign his restricted free agent tender.
- Predicted value: Fifth-round pick.
Ted Ginn | WR | Miami Dolphins
- Ginn, the ninth overall pick in the 2007 draft, hasn’t been quite the playmaker Miami expected. Jason LaCanfora of NFL.com reported on Tuesday that he’s being shopped, but it’s hard to imagine teams are lining up for an undersized wide receiver with 10 touchdowns in three years. Ginn was very inconsistent last season and has questionable hands.
- Predicted value: Fourth-round pick.
D'Qwell Jackson | MLB | Cleveland Browns
- Jackson hasn’t signed his restricted free agent tender and rumored have around that he wants out of Cleveland. He might not be a great fit in the 3-4 and actually could be best-used as a weak-side linebacker in a 4-3. He’s a very good tackler, but not necessarily a playmaker.
- Predicted value: Fourth-round pick.
Jason Campbell | QB | Washington Redskins
- It would be a shock if Campbell isn't moved soon. No more real thoughts necessary.
- Predicted value: Fifth-round pick.
