↵Add three more fighters to the list of those recently released from the UFC.
On the heels of news that welterweight Jason High (9-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) was let go from the promotion after one loss, MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) has been informed that the contracts of fighters Rob Emerson, Brad Blackburn and Fabricio Camoes have also been cut short.
Sources close to the promotion confirmed the releases late Wednesday night.
UFC Roster Cuts Keep On Coming
↵Blackburn and Emerson are tough guys who were always going to have trouble getting W’s in the UFC while always putting on a good show. Camoes was one point deduction after a foul from beating Caol Uno, at which point he’d be 1-1 and the loss to Pellegrino at UFC 111 wouldn’t have resulted in a cut.
↵Blackburn and Emerson are guys who could fit into Strikeforce quite well as decent TV fights. It’ll be interesting to see who pursues each of these guys going forward.
