The Miami Dolphins have sent wide receiver Ted Ginn to San Francisco for a late-round pick in this year's draft, according to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports.

Chris Mortensen of ESPN is reporting that the pick is a fifth-round selection.
Ginn was the ninth overall pick of the 2007 draft. In three years, Ginn has totaled 128 receptions for 1,664 yards and five touchdowns. He’s also ran for 124 yards and two scores.
But his best value is as a return man. San Francisco is in need of a return specialist, so the fit is a good one. Ginn was named the AFC special teams player of the month in November. In that month, he returned two kickoffs of 100 yards or longer for a touchdown in the same game.
For his career, Ginn has averaged 23 yards per kickoff return and 8.7 yards per punt return.
