Penguins Increased Intensity Leads To Game Two Victory

After Peter Regin scored 18 seconds into Game Two of the Penguins/Senators series, it looked like a repeat of Game One for the Penguins. An increase in intensity and energy though lead to increased chances and eventually to Letang’s goal in the third period. Our Penguins site, Pensburgh, believes this is what the Penguins need to keep doing to win the series.

Pittsburgh’s defense was altogether more solid this game than last. Whether it was the coaching staff or the Captain lighting a fire under everyone, whatever it was worked. Here’s hoping the team realizes that this sort of play, this level of intensity is what it’s going to take to beat the Senators this series.

Whether the intensity level will stay increased on the road is yet to be seen. The Senators are a far better home team than on the road and have the advantage of three home games to the Penguins two.
