VIDEO: Garnet Exelby Is Excited About Scoring

Garnet Exelby doesn’t earn his paychecks by picking corners or blasting shots through goaltenders -- it’s more like he hits anything in his sight. In a 4-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Thursday, the Maple Leafs defenseman picked up his first goal since Dec. 18, 2007, a span of 154 games.

↵So, it’s understandable that Exelby wanted to celebrate.

↵The good old fist pump; always classy. Toronto knew they’d have to get some luck to beat Buffalo for the first time in six tries this season. Exelby, Viktor Stalberg, Luke Schenn and Fredrik Sjostrom, who combined for 11 goals heading into this contest, were the Leafs’ goal-scorers.

↵The hockey gods were in a giving mood.
