Halak, Canadiens Top Flyers 1-0; Montreal Takes Sole Possession Of Sixth Place

The Flyers gave Montreal all they could handle and then some on Friday night, but despite outplaying the Canadiens for just about the entire contest, Philadelphia came out on the short end of the stick. Fans of the orange and black have had a rough season this year, resulting in a lot of vitriol towards their team.

But in the aftermath of this latest loss, those fans shouldn’t be disappointed in their team, says SBN’s Broad Street Hockey.

Boucher, though, withstood several Montreal bursts in the offensive zone, ending with eight other stops through one period.

Boucher was called to the bench for an extra attacker with 1:34 to play, briefly returned to the crease with 41.6 to go, then departed with less than 20 seconds left.
